 Why SRMAA Tournaments?

The question sooner or later arises; “Why do we at Seishin Ryu have to be in SRMAA Tournaments as a requirement for promotion?”

1. Our tournaments are an extension of what is taught in the dojo.

2. Under a minimum amount of stress the students learn self control, to respect others (peers along with the judges), in other words “good sportsmanship”.

3. Under this mild and controlled stress the student learns to apply practical self defense methods, along with accepted an proper emotional control of oneself.

4. Now I am not recommending  all tournaments.. Because all tournaments are not created equal. Please check with me before attending “Open Tournaments,” other than ours.
